H22 ring lands? Is this a common problem?....
Why do the h22 piston ring lands blow out so easily compared to any other honda motor?
majority of h22's I have taken apart, always the ring lands are gone but block is fine, is there a problem with the stock pistons or something?

forced induction and cast pistons don't play well together. this happens with most cast pistons that get beat up by detonation whether it be an H22 or not. and the block is not always fine. my block had to be resleeved due to scarring on the cyl walls.
Yup, this is a common problem and the main obstacle for anyone who wants to make serious power. Then you have to sleeve the block to run forged pistons, so on and so forth...
