i have a 93cx with a d15 1.5 non vtec, im buying a d16 1.6 vtec off of ebay. what do i need to get and what do i i need to wire it up for vtec. the motor im getting is just a long block. what computer do i need to get and where can i get it? thanks!!

 

YOU WILL NEED A P28 COMPUTER AND THE WIRING PLUGS FOR THE VTEC SOLINOID.DEPENDING ON THE SELLER ,MOST OF THEM HAVE THE HARNESS FOR SALE ALSO.BUT,JUST GET THE SCHEMATICS FOR THE VTEC WIRING AND PATCH THE PLUGS IN.GOOD LUCK

wow scivic94, you are one smart guy to be able to tell what ecu he needs from that little info.

there are 3 US 1.6L sohc vtec engines.

D16Y5 gets P2N ecu
D15Y8 P2P
D16Z6 P28

not to mention the older integra D16 vtec engines

P71 : 92-95 OBD-1 Integra (sohc vtec d16a)


so you are gonna have to be more specific on what engine you bought and check out my ECU thread in my sig below

 

y would u go thu all those work for 20-30 more hp ?? just think about it
