Default 02 SiR Koni Yellow Installation

I just picked up a set of Koni Sports (yellow) for my EP3. When we installed the rears, my ride height was raised about 1.5 inches. I was using a Progress Group spring with the stock strut. Have any of you ever heard of struts affecting the ride height? Also in regards to the fronts, has anyone ever installed a set of yellows with all the cutting, drilling, sleeving and such? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx

put the spring on a different perch. that will help lower/raise the car to the height you want. 1.5 inches is a lot tho..if you search, you will find a guide to install koni yellows. i believe its in the suspension forum.

There is only one perch for the spring to sit on. They're not upside down or anything either, I made sure they were put in back the same way they came off the stock struts.

on the konis, the rear perch is reversable. flip it over.

that question gets asked alot by miata owners. they wind up with a crazy rake. dropped 1.5" in the front, raised 1.5 in the rear. looks fabulous.

I'm not sure if it fixed it yet, i have to take the front struts out first and get those all cut and such, but it sounds like that's probably what happened.

if the cup faces down, it's lower.

Cup down, don't be surprised to gain ride height, but it will settle down over a week or so. I did a friend's car and the springs and shocks settled about 3/4" in the first week after the install.
