Pipes and "looks."
I'm a little lost here.
It's a freaking pipe. How does one look any better than the other?
I suppose some could look a little more ostentatious than others, but that's more a function of the logo on the pipe than anything else.
I saw a few of us debating the looks of certain pipes in another thread, and I'm just baffled. How does one judge the looks of a pipe? It's like saying a tire is ugly, or a set of clip-ons.

Angle of the exit, bend of the pipe, length, can size and shape, welds, does it retain stock passenger footpegs, does it tuck against the tail, does it follow the lines of the body, what is the overall fit of the pipe etc.
Along with the constant debate of which pipes sound the best.
I fall into the camp of you get what you pay for. I think a lot of the pipes that people think look cool, actually look like total **** and sound even worse.

Pipes are like *****... they all look the same at first glance but the closer you look the more you realize how much the suttle differences matter. Size, color and shape, while all realtively similar, can play a huge roll in one's personal preference.

That's "role," dickface, not "roll."
I dunno, they all look the freaking same to me, barring the ones with the stupid-looking graphics. I looked at some 2-Bros stuff for the Are-Six today and they looked interesting.
As far as Yamahas are concerned, which pipes do people 'round here have any experience with? I want a CF one, since it will blend in with the rest of the bike a little better. Maybe hi-mount, but probably not.

Sorry, it'll have to wait. I'm busy checking the level on my horn fluid.

Two bros build quality is lacking. I have a complete system with carbon cannister on my f3. The core (Perforated Metal tube inside the muffler fell apart/broke in half after about 5k miles. I contacted them and they said for a fee I could have them rebuild it. This core is not made of carbon fiber or aluminum but of some hardened metal steel maybe?
Anyways I knew it broke when it rubbed a hole through the bottom of the cf sleeve. I had it welded back together and repacked the muffler and fiberglassed the hole in the cf. Luckily it is not in a place where anyone would see.
They make crap....

Oh your Two Brothers fell apart too? I'm shocked. My bike came with one when I bought it at 5800 miles and it was deafening loud. So when I took it apart, what do I see? Nothing. The innards were gone. The clear coat was chipped off all over and the "carbon" was faded and spotty.
A "quality" slip-on is going to start around the $500 mark. Full exhaust, double that. One that will not only provide reasonable gains and boast a melodic sound, but will generally outlast the bike.

I love the way Blueflames look myself. Good color, good emblem, good exit pipes.
