DOH! Bad day to leave Azenis on.
If the snow is anything like it was here in DC, it "blizzarded" for like 5 minutes, and 5 minutes later it had all melted. I too worried about my evening commute for a little bit.
Dunlop SP Sport 5000: first all-season tire I've owned in 9 years. Phenomenal snow traction for a tire with decent dry performance.
I also just discovered the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S today, those look real nice.

I haven't been too impressed with them, but maybe that's because they are 245s (don't know what size you are running, but probably skinnier). But I guess I don't really have anything to compare them to (on my current car), either, other than some really poo pooy potenzas .
IMHO the SP Sport 5000s are a great street tire. They were the best "ultra high performance all-season" tire I could get in my size (205/55-15). Naturally the sipes and small tread blocks give them really mushy transient response, but that doesn't mater since I have summer treads for track days.
Runnin' around on A032R's here... if it snows, I'll just park the truck out front.. No commute for me!! hehe... (I'm a Snap On Dealer)

For daily commuting in the DC metro area, they are more than adequate. For higher performance situations, they aren't my first pick.
No they aren't my first pick for high performance situations either (and on my car, when I'm driving, daily commuting IS a high performance situation...maybe no 10/10ths, but you know what I mean).
