Default B16 400-450WHP, what manifold type?

Hallo,

i plan a 400-450 WHP setup on a b16a1 engine and i was thinking if a log style manifold is capable to support this amount of power or do i need a equal length manifold.

Thanks
Malte.

A log manifold will be just fine. You might notice some midrange gains and or quicker spool with an equal length but its not really necessary. If I were to do it all over again I would have just bought an Inlinepro manifold and called it quits.

actually so far, on all the manifolds tests i have seen, and from my own experience, my equal length showed slightly longer spool times, ie: it spooled later. and i picked up more HP in the top end.

but yes a nice stainless log manifold from someone like spoolinperformance.com will definetley get you over the 400 mark, and his stuff is pimp quality!

equal length tubular are the ones that curve in loops like ram horns...log are your basic manifold like inlinpro, revhard, drag...
