Default Removed PCV, Now Poor Fuel Economy

The Vehicle I have is a D16Y8, I have had the vehicle turbo'd since october and Lately i noticed some oil consumption and light blue smoke out of the exhaust so i decided to change the PCV system around. I disconnected the pcv from the black box and left it open to vent and put a cap on the intake manifold. i monitored my fuel consumption and noticed after the pcv was removed i only got 20MPG, compared to 26 With the PCV, has anyone else noticed this kinda problem at all?
