True, but if it's a viscous-type, then it's allowed in STS. i.e. B13 Sentra SE-R.
Not sure of the design of the ATTS. Is it a true LSD?

There is something mechanical about it or it wouldn't work, of course there's something "mechanical" about it. You can't just shoot electrons at a diff to make it into an ATTS system.
Anyway, it's not legal in STS.

not a true LSD. uses a bunch of crazy gears, a steering wheel position sensor, and gets the outside wheel to spin 15% faster than the inside wheel. works pretty well, but doesn't work with straight line traction and weighs 80 lbs as a system.

Acutally, it doesn't use gears. It's got clutch packs (similar to the clutch-type LSD's). IIRC, there are wheel speed sensors on all 4 wheels, a steering wheel angle sensor, a throttle position sensor, and a yaw sensor. The computer picks up all the data from these sensors, then activates the solenoid valve in the ATTS unit to activate the clutch pack. It works quite well, but don't be surprised if it malfunctions on you during a run. It happened to me about 5-6 times over the last 6-1/2 years of auto-x'ing.
Jeremy (prkiller) drove my car this past Sunday at Buttonwillow, his comment afterward was "your car is weird, it's not like a normal FWD car".
