Default OH great need engine help!!!!!!!!

Well I went to the mechanic and he told me my Y8 is not worth fixing. So the thing is that I am abit strapped for cash so I am putting it in the garage for now until I start working in 2 weeks. The thing is that I would like to put a B16 inside my EG but I am having a hard time understanding what I need to do this like everything. I know, I need to get the engine and transmission but what about the ecu. My car was an Si from factory so I assume I have a P28 can that be used. Also what about the OBD. I know, I am OBD1 so what do I do if its a OBD2. I am basically clueless and abit depressed because I have no car so help me out plz.

you can stay obd1, and just not use obd2 sensors. you can use the p28, but you need to chip it. if you are strapped for cash, put another sohc in. motor swaps are anything but cheap.

well I am strapped for cash but only for 2 weeks until I start working. I will be making and excellent pay. The thing is there a ecu that I can use if I have a B16 OBD2 that would be OBD1 so basically keeping it OBD1 and having OBD2 engine. Also what would I need for the swap that I dont have from my Y8.

I also read the civic swap topic and there was only info on which swap you can do but not what you need as parts.

shift linkage (i think), axles, motor mounts, exhaust, and the general maintence things (water pump, timing belt, dizzy cap and rotor, plugs, wires). I would also recommend having a clutch and flywheel before install (this will save you a huge headache down the road). Possibly an intake too.

Are motor mounts expensive?
