Talk to b16a_madman.

He swapped a LS 5th gear into the b16a cable trans for better highway efficiency.

I have a B16 with an LS tranny. I/h/e, skunk 2 manifold and 4300 vtec with an 8500 rev limit. With drags and 3700ft elevation i run 14.5 at 93-94mph on average. I love my tranny, no complaints.

That's a good time for an LS tranny! Let me guess, no 3-4 shift though

I have the same setup, (B16 LS tranny) its nice for daily driving, I'd rather have the shorter gears for N/A....plan on boosting it if I keep the tranny

We got a 5 tenth increase on our boosted b16 swap with the addition of a gsr tranny. Had an LS before... my god what a night and day difference.
