aftermarket headers
i have an 96 honda civic ex v-tec. i was wondering about aftermarket headers. what are the best brands? also, what is the difference between steel and ceramic? what is better 2 into 1 or 4-2-1?
Honestly, don't waist your money on a modification that will give you MAYBE 3-5 hp. Save your money, and piece together a turbo kit. Just FYI it's VTEC not v-tec.

do what he said, unless you have the money for a Bisi or AN-R header

sounds like you need to search on this topic a few times first.

i appreciate the quick replys. i have a cracked header that needs replaced. i just figured that i might as well replace it with something aftermarket since i can get one of those cheaper than an OEM (that i have seen).

Find a used oem header on ebay, local junk yard, or here on the h-t classifieds when you can access it. They are not expensive at all. I see them go for $20-$50. If you really want an aftermarket header be ready to spend $150+ for a decent used one.

You could always pickup a cheap DC 4-1 header off the classifieds , they go for about 100 (give or take a few bucks) , good lower end brand & quality
thats just my personal opinion though ...
