Header/cat question on a 99 si
I bought my friends DC sports header of of his 98 gsr.
I put the header onto my 99 si and it bolted up fine.
When it was time to connect the header to the cat, my stock cat was to short to reach the header, and since I have an extra O2 sensor there was no where to plug it in.
So I called my friend up and got his old cat of the gsr and it has the two o2 sensor holes in it. So im good now becasue I have enough holes for o2 sensors.
Now my question is will the 98 gsr cat be longer then my si cat, so it will not be too short to bolt up to the header?
Thanks in advance

No, the difference in length is in the GS-R's header and B-pipe, not the cat. You will either need to extend your B-pipe or have the cat itself lengthened in order for everything to bolt up.

Is it possible to use the B pibe of of the gsr to make it fit somehow?
Like what can I buy or what do I have to do to make it fit?
Because right now im running open header

The easiest solution would be to take the car to a muffler shop and have them extend the B-pipe. It shouldn't take long, and also shouldn't cost very much. I'm not certain whether the GS-R B-pipe will fit properly, but it can't hurt to try if you have some free time and don't mind crawling under the car to swap it out.

thanks for the advice.
I just measured, the gsr cat is about 1 inch longer than the si cat.
The gap on my car now that i need to fill is about 3 inches so maybe if I pull the b pipe maybe I can make it fit. Ill just try.
If not ill be calling a muffler shop tomorow
