you might have air in your coolant system. try bleeding the air, and if that doesn't work, flush out all the coolant and refill it

you've probably done this, but in case you forgot the simple things...remember to check your fuses and relays. other than that, i'm at a loss.

i mean hondas don't even need a cooling fan. mine is wired to a switch on my dash and i never have to flip it on. the only time that mine got hot was when i drove it for 2 hours straight and let it idle for 20 min. then i put the fan on and it cooled right down. i think something is restricting the coolant flow whether its some **** or air

bad- uhhh...yeah they do. i don't even have an engine that i thought would get that hot but i've been overheating as well. it's a y7 and ANY time i'm stopped and idling for more than 2 minutes, the temp gauge goes sky high. as long as i'm driving, i'm ok, but if i'm sitting somewhere with the engine on, it'll overheat.

its gotta be some kind of blockage in your coolant system. drain your coolant, pull the hose off of your radiator and spray a garden hose into the hose with the engine running. that should clear it out. i think the make chemicals for cleaning out your coolant system.

pull our thermostat out, and boil a pot of water, and see it it poips open. your thermostat might be out, its only like a 5 dollar peice, and you can run your car without a thermostat during the summer, it will help[ it run cooler, remember to put it back in for winter because if you dont, you wont hav heat.

you guys skipped a huge one

is the fan turning on?

while the car is warm, start it somewhere quiet (like a garage) and let it idle, watch the temp. if it starts to overheat without the fan turning on it could be something like a relay or fuse.
