turbo or supercharge`
i was lookin online, and saw turbo kits for a honda civic that has a h22. i was wondering, if you do a motor swap, do you need to get a "special" turbo kit, or can you just get the one for the motor that you swapped into your car? Also, opinions on going turbo, or supercharge? thanks.
Like stated, you'll need to change some things with a kit... but thats what makes it fun right. B/c you're looking into kits... and judging by your title, Im assuming you're not doing the work so....
I personally say go all mota, but Im biased.
If you're gonna pay $2K to get an H.. and another $1-2k to put it in. Then spend another $3k on a kit... another $1k to install and tune.
Add that up and you've got enough to buy a K.

if it were me i would just build the **** out of a B and boost the hell out of it. but with an H in there just go to a shop and have them build a kit for you and have them tune it. as far as the turbo gose i would use a sc60 or a gt35. crazy top end power.

What are your power goals....??
What kind of driving do you do?
All-motor power = respect, badass throttle response
supercharger = good throttle response too, weird whining sound, lotta low end torque and decent upper end power
turbo = laggy (unless BB, but still not the best throttle response), CRAZY top end...lotta power, and a bunch of weird whirling, whooshing, and swooshing sounds!!!

and i wasn't aware that K's fucked up handling....
Is this just like the h22 ***** up handling claim?
Because if you have custom suspension it can be dealt with easily...not that many people would notice the handling problems of 80 extra pounds int he front anyway

h22 is only like 30lbs heavier, however the k is like 60-70 i believe n it sits further up past the wheels, so it has alot of unbalanced front weight
