Sorry pal, thats DOHC zc your thinking of. The SOHC zc has 130 and is exactly identicle to us d16z6 expecpt for a missing smog peice on the intake manifold which i attribute to the extra boost in 5hp. the NON-VTEC zc is the one with 140, but your not selling that.

i belive there numbers are incorrect. 17hp over usdm and really not change at all in the engine except for some smog equipment, i don't think so. They're numbers are inflated.

no compression should be the same, pistons same, engine same.

MMMhh ?
ZC Vtec I knew that engine existed. Had a little argument a few weeks ago about it on the EG or EF forums. I had no proof though. I think your HP numbers are a bit inflated and the engine is 130bhp while the DOHC ZC is 128bhp. The ZC SOHC Vtec is the best of the D series. I wouldnt be surprised if it is over 130bhp though. Since it might have pm6 pistons in it and that bumps up the CR.

I have personally driven a hatch with a zcvtec after he swapped out the y8 and it was a noticable difference!!!! It is boosted now so it is a huge difference!!!

well of course it is noticeable the y8 is as powerful as the z6. when i got my zc it drove almost the same as my z6, very little improvement at all. But it was kinda hard to compare the 2 engines. THe z6 was really old and probably not making stock hp numbers anymore. The zc was just more responsive, that was all.
