car problems...this sucks
whats goin on fellas...today i was mad happy cause the guy that is doin my swap called me to call pick up the car within an hour cause it was about to be done...i bought the motor a b16a2 sir2 complete but i was short on money to buy a clutch so i left the clutch that it came with not knowing weather it was good or bad...as the guy turned the car on didnt wanna go into any gear, clutch is frozen inside or completely gone...so i had to buy a new exedy stage one clutch and pay for more labor....when u buy a swap please change the clutch u dont wanna go thru this pain....

yea but you never know what your getting when you buy a used motor maybe its just me but i would have at least taken the tranny off and looked at it while the motor was out now its gonna be a harder job.

yeah i agree...but i work overnight and i didnt have the time and for the time the money...so it really became more expensive...common sense? funny how some people do the same thing i did and everything works well...i guess bad luck got in my way, but **** it i have my car done in the morning...is a VTEC world baby

yeah my friend who shall remain nameless....."komat". just did his swap and had the same problem. one of the springs in the clutch came out and was binding **** up inside sometimes his car wouldnt even come out of gear. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CHANGE CLUTCH-TIMING BELT-AND WATERPUMP WHEN YOU DO A SWAP WITH A MOTOR THAT YOU DONT KNOW THE HISTORY OF. these are just as important as mounts and a linkage (you wouldnt do a swap without mounts would you?) if you dont have the money to get that done you should wait to do your swap. it sucks to wait but its way better than taking your new swap for its first ride and finding out you just bent all your valves due to an old timing belt. or not being able to move cause your clutch is shot.

It is pretty common sence, but it is one of those things you can forget sometimes, like not putting gas in the tank, or having any oil in the engine...
