Evap Canister removed Que. (searched)
I removed my Evap canister this past weekend and i keep getting a CEL code 90 on my OBD 2 civic Ex. I removed and disconnected everything and pluged up the IM port, and rerouted the fuel tank vent tube under the car.
would pluging the fuel vent tube stop me from getting the code, or is pluging it up a bad idea.
that damn orange light annoyes the **** out of me!!!

x2. What is the advantage to this?

it perty much just cleans up the engine bay gives you more room to put other things like if you have an external coil and MSD 6AL it comes in handy.
it weighs probably in between 6 and 8 lbs. and all it does is let fuel vapor go to the intake manifold on start up. so i figured what the hell.

I removed mine, but only because I have a JDM P30 ECU, so it doesnt look for it. Your problem is that the system is looking for the EVAP Purge Solenoid and its not seeing it. Only way to get that CEL gone is to install the EVAP system back, or swap down to OBDI with a JDM ECU.
