If I had an older Prelude, that had a blown motor, and I needed it to get to work, I might buy it for that price.

It's a different family than the other B's, not a lot of aftermarket support, some, but not a ton, prone to overheating from what I hear.

a lil while ago i bought a helm's type book on swapping every other motor into every other car...they donated *one* paragraph to that motor..saying that the motor is a waste of time even in the prelude...no Aft market support at all..its not your typical B

i say don't buy it...for around 300-400 dollars your lookin at an LS engine..way more support and is a great motor for a light weight civic..

you're talking about a B18A, right? if you mean B18B, try more like $800 at least, unless you get lucky.

well, a B20 (CRV) engine is considered a Truck/SUV engine, and isn't legal to swap into a passenger vehicle in CA and certain other states. i guess it depends where you live, or are you just swapping it into a track moster? the B18B is still a good engine. i'd recommend it
