Default Need to swap out pedals, what brand names are good?

Hi guys,

The ricer inside me says that it is time to replace the pedals, hehehe. Actually the rubber padding fell off on my clutch pedal and I'm getting tired of putting it back on everytime it falls off.

So anyways, I thought I'd check out my local autozone and pick up some el-cheapo universal APC or ARC pedals. Or is there a specific brand you guys can recommend? I dont want something expensive, but I dont want something that'll break or one that my shoes will slip off of when they're wet.

Thanks

oem....I hate anything but on pedals...they always come loose...and depending how your feet positions are when you drive a stock set of pedal rubbers can make it for well over a hundred thousand miles.....

Yah, I just looked at several pedal brands including Momo and Razo, and even those say you hav to drill to fit. So it sounds like they are all pretty much universal. I guess I'll just run down to my local Honda dealer and get some new rubber pads for $3 each, hehehe.

Some pedals are wider and allow your gas and brake to be closer for "easier" access when heal to toe driving. You might want to try a search in the auto-x/roadrace forum if that's what you intend to do.

I have the cheapies from pep boys but they were on my car when i got. They don't look bad and no ones ever said anything. I've never had any problems with them coming loose in the 3 or so years i've owned the car.

theyre pedals, they all work... just dont get anything too slippery (sparco cf comes to mind) or with too many wierd bumps on em. i've never owned any other than the momo's, but the way they attach would concern me.

ive had the bolt on aluminum momo covers for 8 years or so. lots easier to heel-toe, and no slippage ever. just make sure you trim the long *** bolts so the carpet doesnt get stuck in them. oh, and the bling factor really though, i'd buy em again even if they werent shiny and didnt say momo on em.

I just ordered teh Sparco CF pedals from the above linked sponser yesterday for a nice price. I plan on using some grip tape to ensure no slippage

I second rsca_crx's statement. I've used the Momo Stealth pedals for well over a year now 'n they're decent.
Recently bought the Sparco CF pedals, but yeah, now I'm worried how slippery they'll be.
Could you toss a pic of what you're doin', DJ_SaNdOz, I'm somewhat at a loss for ideas..

Well it's a similar concept to the mugens. Use skateboard grip tape on the pedals so that wet, or dry, there will be something for your shoes to grab on to.
