Default steering rack bushings

I am doing an energy suspension poly kit, and I have these steering rack bushings and for the life of me I cannot find out where they go...I've never had to deal with the steering rack, I am figuring it's attached to teh steering colum, and probally right above my rear subframe but not sure

any tips helpful? is it easy to get access? better from top or bottom?

thanks guys!

btw, car is a 97 civic h/b

Does your bushing look like what Part #11 bolts over?

that the bushing i had to replace when i got that same kit. but the bushing is a bitch, the one in the kit is a little bigger than the oem one, so its a hella pain to screw down those bolts.

it seemed pretty easy when you first looked at it, huh?

I too have these ES steering rack bushings. Anyone successfully installed them? Exactly how do you get to the stock bushings?

A buddy of mine has them instulled on his rex. It does make a difference that i felt. Only thing was that his motor was out when he instulled them so it was pretty easy for us to do.

If im not mistaken, those bushings are only for cars with a power steering rack... they won't work on a manual. Just an FYI..
