ive checked everything possible and i cant get the vtec to work. it works for a little bit after i reset it then it dosent work anymore after a few minutes. oil pressure is up and the oil pres. switch is good ,the solenoid works and the knock sensor is connected what else can it be !!!

 

Does your speedometer work? I am assuming by your name that you have a B16, right? Is it an OBD0 B16?

 

Oil temperature up to the coeerct value? IIRC it's 60 deg C. Is the oil temp sensor working?

 

double check your oil level. if everything else is plugged in and working and speedometer like vap said then maybe an ecu issue? (i'm assuming vtec activation is up to the ecu)

 

all my sensors work and my oil pressure is right so im gonna check the ecu

 

Just because there is no CEL doesn't mean the ecu isn't throwing codes. I don't have a CEL, but I know my ecu is throwing codes. I have codes 7 and 17 and until I floor it 100% or downshift, then only does the cel come on and I don't have vtec either. So what I am saying is check for codes regardless if you see a cel or not.
