Default greddy downpipe flange

I had a question about the Greddy Downpipe for the TD05-H 18G for the B16. Where can I find the flange that connects that to the turbo?? I want to upgrade to a 2-1/2" piping. I was wondering would it better to reuse that flange I have and get a bigger piping welded on or get a new flange (whatever it would be) and create my downpipe with that.
I dont think I would go to a 3" piping because of issues I hear with overboosting with the internal wategate and plus my piping I have after the cat is already 2-1/2". My goal is to hit at least 240-250 would this be sufficent. I know the stock downpipe that came with the kit is like a twig.

prob be a good idea to get a new flange instead of chopping up the old one. i offer DOHC greddy 2.5 downpieps for 165. doesnt bolt up to your exhaust though. you gotta get that finished off by a muffler shop

Hey man,
Thanks for the reply I believe I checked out your site earlier and was looking at your downpipes I saw some for rev hard and drag but not listed for Greddy. However thanks for telling me. A couple questions on that downpipe does it include a flex pipe attached? The one I have now doesnt have a flex pipe and I'd really like to have some kind of flex between the downpipe and the cat. My current downpipe is well sort of jerry rigged it was orginally for a GSR instead of an SI which I have had done a little customization to make it fit and its worked fine for me. Im just wondering about the overall length if I would have room for a new cat and flex in between?

yes youll have room for a new cat. i know the 96 GSR's are very very short. since you're going aftermarket cat it shouldn affect too much. flex pipe for 2.5 is 40$ extra. lemme know

yeah i have also been looking into a 2.5inch dp for the greddy kit. i have the same kit and wanted a bigger downpipe but i have heard it leads to boost spikes, better solution maybe just a cutout. I'm still interested though

cutout would be worse. because theres even less backpressure. if you dont have AC i can make a complete new downpipe for you. otherwise you're stuck with the last elbow .

I have A/C. So your saying that since I do I cannot upgrade to a bigger piping?

I'll be interested in the dp also if it can work with the AC... no AC in AZ is like whoa

You might not have enough room to make a new downpipe starting from the turbo, w/ the cast elbow its already pretty close to the a/c compressor

I took out my a/c and it one of the best decision i made lol. Is it possible to make a 3 inch right at the turbo flange or is the flange not big enough for a 3 inch, so it would be like 2 inch of 2.5 inch pipe then the rest will be 3 inch.

no . cuz you have ac i can only make you the lower downpipe you gotta keep the cast piece. if you DONT Have AC. i can make you a new downpipe that removes the pos greddy elbow.

Is the lower downpipe the actual black pipe that attaches to the housing itself Im kind of confused on that. I thought the actual black pipe which is the elbow and is connected by the three bolt flange was the downpipe itself.. I really wanted to avoid getting rid of my A/C for the time being and would like to keep it. Would there be any benefit with a new bigger lower downpipe piece so I can still keep my A/C?

it would be the pipe w/ the 3-bolt flange that connects to the rest of your exhaust (if you're keeping a/c), and i'd say there's a bit of a difference from that 2.25" pipe to a 2.5" or 3" ....projectdc2 can take care of it for ya

Well hell thats what Im looking. Actually if it would work a 2.5" downpipe piece that would allow me to keep my A/C any price difference in that since Im not actually getting the whole piece but just the lower part of it.

165$ is the price for just the lower section of the downpipe. upper to replace the elbow will be considerably more.

Can you make a 2.5" section that replaces the elbow only? I've already got a 2.5-3" dp from the elbow down and was looking to replace the upper and have an open wastegate dump. No AC for me anyways. I just want to get rid of that pos gooseneck thing.

I think Kteller has DP upgrades that will bolt up. Not sure though. It's for the 15G but it might work.

its only for the D series i've said this time and time again. i use different flanges for both setups. however i dont make D series to sell only custom fitted at the shop. B series i make to sell as replacement downpipes

D series uses a MUCH smaller flange with a 2.25 opening

the B series flange i use has a 2.70 w? bigger bolt pattern
