Default Going Turbo... Few questions

*searched for a few weeks now for info*

joining the Turbo Civic club. just bought a d16a6 (Si) and a td05h 14b turbo. i have a few questions for you guys so i can get it up and running (goal is 20-25psi -- yes, i realize how much forging i need to do to the block -- its already being taken care of )

1.) Recommended intercoolers for a 1991 Civic DX (sedan). Brand, size (bolt on, little or no modification to a stock bumper -- willing to do some modification to make it fit), etc. Like i said above, motor will be a6 (Si motor), with a td05h 14b turbo, if that matters at all.

2.) where can i get a copy of UberEdit, or TurboEdit (whatever their called?)? Which do you recommend? Others? Ease of use?

Any other tips for a turbo n00b would be greatly appreciated. I'm doing this myself, homemadeturbo.com is helping alot, just wanted specifics from the friendly and helpful folks around here as well.

Thanks!

yeah the 31V is a little pricy, buy a johnny race car intercooler from less than $200 order bends off of JC whitney or something and do the setup your self, you'll sace about $200+.

run uberdata its nice for the DIY, and everyone and their grandma knows how to use it

oh and run a bigger turbo, at those boost levels your going to be very disapointed with the power it makes expecially if your trying to run 20psi+.
set a goal for HP, not psi

well i know that the turbo i have isnt good past about 16psi. so, my goal is between 7 and 15psi to start off with. the 20-25 will come afterwards, probably through the winter, when i have the money to upgrade the turbo kit, and upgrade to stage 3 internals (currently building the motor with stage 2 internals).

and yes, i have a hp goal already as well. but i'll keep that to myself until i see what the motor runs w/o turbo, and then w/ 7psi and w/ 15psi..

man, the guys over at HMT are jerks. as for help over there and you cant get it w/o smartass comments and people just being ******.

i love it here

anything else from anyone?

yeah for your situation for sure the 6". the five is for anything under 7psi-ish area. i run the 6 just to be safe and plus its only like $30 more i think and its hp rating is way higher. 6"
