Heh.. yeah... HELLO!? As long as you have the proper manifold to where the turbo fits on it and it fits up to your block then you should be fine. Keep in mind you will have to get all the other proper fuel requirements and turbo accessories for it to run properly.

Dude, he's probably new to this sorta thing. Don't "McFly" him.

Yes, first you have to decide what type of turbo you'd like to run... then you should have a shop fabricate a manifold for you.. or you could just buy one if it's already made for that specific type of turbo.

Example:

Lets say you wanted to run a 14b or a 16g on your car. You can buy the Greddy exhaust manifold and bolt a turbo up to that.. then get the rest of the turbo's necessities/accessories to make a "system" out of it.

Or lets say you wanted to run a T3 or a hybrid of a T3. Then you can buy manifolds from companies like DRAG, RevHard, F-MAX, etc.

Or if you happen to pic a turbo that no-one really makes a manifold for.. like lets say you want a T4 turbo.. (ya there are probably manufactured manifolds for this turbo .. but this is just an example! ) you would just take the turbo.. or describe what turbo it is to the shop and let them know how you want to mount the turbo. And they'll design a manifold for you from scratch.

I'm customing my turbo also...I have a D16Y7 and I'm either gonna go with a TD04 or T25...(both these turbos are from eclipses...just different generations)...I'm still undecided...after choosing, I'm gonna look for a turbo manifold...probably gonna pick one up for about $250 or less..and I'll be using the internal wastegate and boosting 7psi max on stock internals..and my fuel management will only consist of a Vortech FMU..which I can probably pick one up used for real cheap..whatdoyou guys think?

The 1gen eclipse mitsubishi 14b turbo flows more then the 2gen eclipse garrent t25. If you are going to use one or the other go with the 14b. They both have similar spoolup times just the 14b flows more air.

If you wanna go a little bigger you can use the 16g, 18g, 20g, fp big t28/t28, or a t28/t3. All those turbos bolt up to the t25/14b manifold. The larger 20g can flow as much as or more air then a large t3/t4 or t40s. Really big turbo.
