It's a show thing really. A full race/drift/drag car might find it useful, but how many of us have a full race car?

If you have prothane/energy suspension motor mounts and inserts, that should be more than enough to dampen your engine. These mounts are plenty stiff, so stiff in fact that a few guys dont even bother with the lower torque mounts.

There are damper kits for the teg, but it's for the b16 and type r motors, though Im sure it can be made to fit LS's as well. The cheapest I've seen it go for is $120.00, alot of money to justify on a part that isnt at all necessary.

I heard that they lessen the movement of the engine substantially, which will help. A motor shaking up and down is not good.

how much does it really move at where it's mounted? 1/8? - 1/4? at most?.. and how stiff is that thingy anyway? is it to just brace the engine or actually absorb the shocks caused at just that point? i don't know. i would need a comparison road test on this one to convince me.

WHAT THE ENGINE DAMPER DOES IS THE SAME AS POLY MOTOR MOUNT INSERTS BUT IT DOESNT GIVE YOU THE EFFECTS OF YOUR INTERIOR VIBRATING AND MAKING ALL THAT NOISE. EITHER WAY YOU GO IS A GOOD THING. COMFORT GO WITH THE ENGINE DAMPER. IF YOU WANT THE CAR TO VIBRATE AND MAKE THE GIRLS WET GET THE MOTOR MOUNT INSERTS.

I have the silvers dampner which was modified a little to fit (originally from an eg). I had no intention of even trying to get the rear motor mount off, and thought this would be the best solution for the time being. I did notice a difference, but I am sure doing all 3 motor mount inserts would do the same trick
