Anyone know anything about this?
http://www.auto-ware.com/software/heb/heb.htm
also seems to be called Honda Engine Builder, but it is only $39.95. Just curious.

I wish you could make software that is that involved... you ahve to take into account compression, engine built, bearings, etc even before you worry about bolt on power. do they have millions of motors tested with EVERY combination?
i guess it might give you some kind of idea as long as it doesnt simply go by HP claims of the product maker. intake, intake manifold, exhaust, no cat = 200hp itr motor

Engine building software is out there, but until you acutally put it all together it doesnt mean squat

These people put up $100,000 to say that it does mean a little more than squat.

Regarding that specific program and what it promises to do:
"This software will show you what parts to bolt-on to make the most power possible."
...its nearly impossible to to simulate what type of a power curve a specific part (or combination of parts) will produce in a given engine package just by entering them into a program and then have it spit out some type of power curve. How does it account for AFR tuning? ignition map tuning? altitude? etc.

i ment that building an engine on paper, or in this case on a computer, is one thing but until you actually create those products and assemble them it doesnt mean anything. its not like plug and play you have to have parts machined to very close tolerences and then check and double check your clearences when you assemble an engine.
in the end i would say it can be useful, to see what modification can be done to increas CFM's or create a better ionized fuel mixture.
