Default Need quick help on removing upper A-arm

I'm in the process of switching my upper A-arm to the Skunk2 camber kit. How do I separate the ball joint on the stock A-arm from the connecting steel piece? I removed the pin and the pin nut already. How do I pull the upper arm out?

Do I need a ball joint separator tool? I don't have one. What are the other options?

Thanks!

take a hammer, and hit the steering knuckle on the side just below the ball joint. now, there's not a lot of room in there, and it's kinda tough to get it right, but if you still have a load on the steering knuckle, it will pop out. oh, and try not to hit the threads

Thanks for the info D.
I ended up getting a small gear puller (2 claws), and the ball joint shot right out....! Scary, I thought I broke something.
