Timing belt question
Is it possible for my timing belt to have given some slack within 40k miles? After replacing my cam gears with some Skunk2 ones a few weeks ago, I've noticed a lot of slack on the exhaust side going to the crank pulley. I know timing is dead on, double checked it myself, and had 2 other mechanics look at it. The tensioner is as tight as it goes, and there's no play there.
The belt slaps around a bit at idle, causing an annoying sound in the cabin. There's no performance loss, but I've been afraid to let my engine go in case the belt does slip.
Should I go ahead and replace it?

might as well change it, the belts are not that expensive, you might want to look into changing the tensioner also, just to make sure it is not causing you and troubles
