Default Is my afr safe?

Ok i got my basemap made on turboedit and i am wondering if my afr is ok for driving around. At idle i am running pretty rich with a high 12 to low 13 afr. Just driving it goes up to the 14's soemtimes 15.. in full boost, which for now is 7-8 psi i am in the high 11's to low 12's. is this all ok for now except for the richness at idle? Also when i shift i am gettting like 17 and higher for the time that i am off the throttle and it is saying lean on the wideband and with my open dp i am getting a lot of backfire. like really loud.. so i just wanted to know if this sounds ok for now til i can get a new chip and learn turboedit pretty good. thanks

Sounds fine.

Is the car warm when you are getting 12:1 AFR at idle?

If so, lean it out a little until you get closer to 14.7:1.

sounds fine other than idle. The lean spike when you shift is just from fuel cutoff when you let off the gas...that is normal.

thanks guys that takes a load off of my mind.. would it be safe to take to the track this friday and see what it runs before i up the boost some more and tune it in? Yes my car is warm when i get those idle afr's and its around 13:1 or just a bit higher. and with it being so rich at idle is the only bad effect that it will get crappier gas mileage? any other harmful effects?

Ring-wash... shoot for at least a 14.7:1 idle. When you shift or let off the gas to slow down you'll read lean (downshift or decel).

you barely use any fuel at idle so gas mileage won't be effected by idle.

I'm always showin this picture to people :

Will ring was really be something to worry about or would it only be bad with an even richer idle?

You'd have to be way richer than you are at idle before you'd have to worry about ring wash.....
