Default 06 Civic Si

Does anyone know what the price is going to be for the 06 Civic Si? Any other pics or information would be great as well. Thanks.

i think around the current price if not a couple hundred more...b.c for $25,000 you can get a nicely equiped WRX, RSX-S, and so on...

Uhmm... there will be no RSX-S in 2006, the Si is replacing the RSX-S and the EP3 is going to be discontinued... No Hatch, the 2006 Si is going to be THE K-Series chassis.

I'm not even going to go into the arguements why to go honda vs. all... this is for christ's sake a honda-tech forum.

You seriously think Honda's going into it's own pocket selling the new Si's (assuming that they come with 200HP 6sp tranny & LSD) @ that price? Don't get me wrong, I'd wish they sell them @ that price too, so I can get one myself.. Anyways, Man 2006 is gonna be very exiciting year (World Cup Soccer, whole new line of Civic, Honda Fit in U.S?, New/Discontuned RSX?)..

Once the 06 civic si is available iam pretty sure the rsx-s will come out with a more faster and powerful engine maybe something that puts out around 25-35 horsepower more.

If they have the current K20Z1 motor in the '06 Si, that'll really be something.

that's for sure.

and everyone needs to remember, this talk of "no more rsx" is all just speculation. until there is a memo from the desk of honda, that's all it will be, speculation.

If you listen to the kids in Torrance carefully, you already know the answer.

All I know is I'm gonna trade in my Teg in 2006 for something new. Either the 2006 Civic Si or the RSX-S.

If Honda is planning on bringing the Fit to the US, then they can raise the price on the entire Civic line up, because if someone says, "that car costs too much," the dealer can say, "check out the smaller 'Civic'." If Honda does this and gets rid of the RSX, look out price wise on the Si, gonna cost a couple dollars.

hahaha and who/what exactly is your source on that?? Why would Honda make all the changes they did to the 05 rsx-s if they only intended it to be in production for 1 more year??? I'm not saying its not posible but I hate when people like you make claims as if they are true when in reality no one knows for sure.

Also to all the people saying the sales of the 05 rsx are bad, how come it took me 3 weeks to find my type-s and between the 2 lots I know of there is only one S??? Seems like they're selling ok to me???

Jeff from vtec.net has said there isnt a replacement planned for 08, and he is pretty solid with his info.

But with regards to sales, the April YTD for 2005 is 6800, compared to 6986 for April YTD for 2004. So, thats a 2.7% decrease in cars sold even though the 05 RSX just had the MMC refresh, which should increase sales. With the introduction of the 06 Si, the sales numbers for the RSX will plumment even further.

But, time well tell. And if the RSX is gone, the soul of the car will live in the new Si.

He has a point. The price should be atleast comparable to the current rsx-s, which will make it very interesting what they will do with the rsx-s. I think we will see a 2006 rsx-s but that will be the last year. They will either completly remodel the rsx or drop it. If you notice honda in general lately keeps body styles for 5 years with an update after 3 years.

if the RSX-S comes out with 25-35 more hp than the current 210hp then what will they do to the the DC5R's K20A?? change that out for something with 300hp? i dont see the type S having more power than the R

what will be done with the new CTR then? DC5R K20A?

That's because it costs too much!

I have the window sticker from my 97 RS. It cost $17k. The new base RSX is 20k! It's ridiculous!
