need some info about catch can
ok what exactly does a catch can do? my friend told me I should get one but I dont know if he has it for just a extra thing on his engine bay or it actually does do something, I look at the Z10 Catch Can setups and it goes for 189.00 and I was wondering if it is worth it please give me some intel on what exactly does the catch can do, I have a db8 with a ls-vtec.

TYou can attache them pretty much anywhere. I have seen small ones zip tied to tie bars, i have seen them mounted on the passanger side wheel well. and i have seen one on the driver side, right at the front. where the PS pump is on our cars

Most peoples setups put the catch can inbetween the PCV valve and the IM. you can leave the PCV valve

An oil catch can collects oil vapors which would otherwise be recirculated back into the intake manifold which can gum up the intake manifold (see diagram below). The oil vapors also lower the combustion point, which can cause detonation, because oil vapors are more flammable than gasoline.
I have had my oil catch can installed for about 3 years now on my '94 GS-R and I collect about 1/8 - 1/4 cup of oil every 3,000 miles, so it does work...even on a non-boosted engine.
I actually made my own oil catch can. You can go to my website at http://www.geocities.com/bretq....html for step-by-step instructions for installing an oil catch can.
