For all the 4 bangin sohc lovers. Whats the Best Header made for theD-Series motor?
looking to buy what i can afford but still looking for the best header at a crackhead price. feel me? please leave a pic and a 
link to some were i can puchase it if there available. i have an idea of what everyones gonna say im just looking for someone elses opinion. thanx.

Depends on what you plan to do with the car. Drag? Road race? Autocross? Daily driver? Each design have specific purposes.

hell yea, can't go wrong, i got a 4-1 in the classifieds section awhile ago for 60 bucks used, now thats crackhead price. IMO, its not worth it cause you'll get like .2 to the wheel

Yeah , i have to agree DC does make a nice header and they can be picked up for cheap ... I couldn't find anyone w/ a DC header fs when i was looking so i picked up a SS Autochrome header , no complaints

DC sports is great....I have a dc sports for sale for d series, 4-2-1. Great condition almost brand new...make me an offer

well guys the engine is still in the works but its gonna be the itb's off of the motor i have now and as high comppresion as i can make it. mostly weekend dragging and eventually road racing when i get more money for a better suspension. tunings never been a problem but funds have id love to get some smsp or bisi's but im a baller on a budget. so with that said id like to know ur opinions in case theres a better one that i don't know about.

I've got one, I'll sell it to you for $950, it was barely used. If you are interested, I also have some ocean front property in AZ....
I'd say teh best header is Rage, SMSP, Bisi, etc. For a cheap header just to get you through a DC header should work fairly well. Some people have seemed to have luck w/ the Megan header's from ebay, I am currently using a DC knockoff from ebay that works better then stock, was $100, and is disposable when I boost the car later.

Ehhh, I like the HP Racing header better for the cost. They dynoed one in Turbo Magazine a while back on a 96 Dx and it made around 6hp. I dunno if that's a lie, but I wouldn't think that magazines would lie about that. I've had one and a buddy as well, we like em, and wouldn't get anything else unless we buy a used DC for cheap. Otherwise, go get one of them Bisi headers from Exospeed, that's the **** header for a d-series, if you have the cash...
