not trying to be a dick, but i literally laughed out loud when i read this. dc headers are very far from the best! now something like a bisimoto header would be one of the best. but if you are not looking to spend a whole lot and your motor is basically stock i would recommend the kidd racing rmf narrow replica. thats what i will be picking up soon for my gsr. i currently have a strup 4-1 header. the quality is awesome but ground clearance is terrible. mine is completely flat on the bottom from scraping it so much. def look into the kidd racing header.

DC headers are little better than stock.

I doubt you're willing to spend $1,000+ for what is actually the best.

However, there are several manufacturers in the sponsor marketplace offering knock-off and replica headers that have solid quality for ~$300-500.

RMF narrow style headers from KiddRacing in Atlanta have proven performance, as well as the Private Label MFG headers. Logicmotorsports has good stuff as well.

The RMF narrow is probably your best bet with a 1.8L. They look great and have good clearance for a/c if that's a concern for you.

Good header designs essentially have stepped runners and a 2.5"+ collector size. DC sports has like a 2" collector or something I'd be willing to bet.

With some good cams, a tune, and a solid RMF style header you would be amazed at the gains.

One of the best indeed. All of us here at Bisimoto Engineering appreciate the compliment. If I may add, we at Bisimoto Engineering are enthusiast just like yourselves and take pride ourselves in manufacturing quality products that the public can enjoy. We make our technology available to everyone.

You mentioned ground clearance...The ground clearance on Bisimoto designed headers is phenomenal because the true merge collector is placed in front of the engine as opposed to it being placed beneath where it can exhibit damage due to lowered vehicles and other discrepancies on the road.

JearsonAndres, so think of it as a protection of your investment as well. Not to mention since it is a custom design we can cater to your needs, and our senior engineers are able to your extract every single ounce of power your engine can produce with our designs.

Something to think about. Good luck on finding your best option, if you need anything we are here to help.

Cheers, Alvin.
