y8 intake mani swap...
there are differences. one big on is that the y8 feeds from the side while the y7 feeds from the top. you will have to modify throttle cable brackets and such.

If you have any questions let me know what i can help you with. Yes, the IM did make the car feel a tad better down low as well as giving it a better throttle response.

Get the 96-98, the 99-00 have AIR injection which you'll end up getting rid of anyways, so if you have a choice, look for a 96-98. Although doing away with the AIR injection holes on the 99-00 manifold isnt really a big deal.
I just did a y8 mani on my turbo setup. My full setup is a y7 block, z6 head, y8 intake mani and a greddy turbo kit. With the old intake mani(d15 dx mani) I had no low end at all and the top end was being limited. I felt a whold shift in the power from down low and top end.. It was a good move. I also installed a aem fuel rail and fpr too.
