Well I finished off the B16B swap into my 92 hatch tonight. Everything went pretty well and the engine fired up the first time it turned over. I do have a CEL flashing code 22 which is vtec oil pressure switch. Well everyone with a JDM engine knows that they don't have this. The ecu is a reprogrammed p28 with a ctr type program. It does run and drive ok though. For some reason at rpm's greater than 6K or at wot at any rpm the engine bogs. I am going to tackle that tomorrow sometime. Biggest thing is only 1 CEL code and she is runnin'. From my first impressions this is going to be one hell of an engine. I know it isn't running right but it impressed me. I am more impressed with this than my ls swap with jrsc etc. Everyone wish me luck and i will keep everyone infomed as to my progress....

Yeah I know that VTEC will not work with that code or any VTEC code for that matter. I will have to give larry a call and see what he says. That may be the reason for the bog. We shall see......

I worked for Larry for over a year and he is a really great guy. Of course that is where this motor came from. I left back in August to take a job that related to what I went to school for. Anyhow when he says a complete swap he means it. Everything you need will be included to do the basic changeover. Motor, trans, uncut wiring harness,ecu,downpipe,shifter/shift linkage, axles, cat. converter, should have a throttle cable, fuel pump, evap canister. This is just a basic overview of what he includes. All his swaps are good ones and he will offer support for the purchaser. I am not just endorsing him because I used to work for him or because I am getting a kick back here it is just for the simple reason I think he is one of the best to deal with.......

Well to be honest I would hate to say either way for fear of telling a lie. I never really helped him with the swaps selling end of the business. I do know this as well as everyone else full USDM ITR changeovers are very expensive. I don't know how many miles are on the one he quoted to you so I can't say mileage may dictate the price. I will say this. Every engine is gove over with a fine tooth comb before shipping etc to make sure it is right and not junk. It is either ran before removal or is subjected to a leakdown test. If is is not within a certain range on the leakdown it doesn't get shipped until it is etc. I know the guy who takes the engines out and the guy who does the inspection/repair and they both know their stuff. The guy who dismantles can remove and engine from the car in less than 1 hr start to finish. He did this to my car as well as 100's of others and he doesn't cut any wires or hoses @ all. Like I said everything is there. Sure you may need something that you will have to provide but by and large all you need is on the pallet. Also included with each "changeover" is what we referred to as a changeover box. This contains all the nuts/bolts removed during the dismantling process. You will not lack for nuts and bolts. If you call him tell him that Shane mentioned him to you.....Good luck....
