Default H22 Swap for a 2000 dx

Hi, I recently found a private party trying to sell a 2000 honda civic dx with a JDM H22a swap already installed, hes done some other things to the car as well and its in great condition, he refuses to even drive it in the rain. He wants 9000 for it, as someone new to the tuner sceene i would like to know if it would be worth while to purchase the car

The car for sale is a 1999 Honda Civic DX Coupe with a Honda Prelude H22a motor swap. The car is in meticulous condition, along with the engine. The engine runs free of check engine lights. It has an AEM Integra Type R Cold Air Intake painted flat black, with a Jdm header, Apex N1 exhaust with a Carsound catalytic converter. The car has power steering but no air conditioning. Yet air conditioning is easily obtainable if wanted. The engine is bolted in with an HCP mount kit, running Drive Shaft Shop axles with the original prelude intermediate shaft. There is also a brand new Integra GSR radiator. The engine was installed in the car with a brand new timing belt, water pump, belt tensioner, alternator and power steering belt.. Later on installed was an ACT aftermarket clutch. The chassis consists of KYB AGX adjustable shocks with Skunk2 Coilovers. Added up front was Integra GSR brakes. Inside the car there are Honda Del Sol front seats. Also a Honda Civic EX gauge cluster, Sony Explode headunit, with sony speakers in the doors. There is also a Walboro 255lph fuel pump installed. The rims on the car are Rota Slipstreams in flat black wrapped in Falken Azenis 205/55/15. On the outside of the car there is a Civic Si front and rear spoiler, along with an si grill, aftermarket black housing headlights. Included with the sale of the car will be Integra GSR rear brakes, the whole trailing arms with e-brake cables, master cylinder and brake booster, and the stock rims and tires.

thats the car. please respond any advice would be appreciated.

That is the more important question, oh and have you ever installed a complete AC system? It isn't as easy as you think my friend. I would probably pay like $7K, but that's just me.

There are like 50000 miles on the original body, he bought it off of some lady that had a three year lease, i dont care too much about air conditioning though. Im not quite sure if i could get him to drop the price down to 7000, i dont think i know enough what im talking about to get him to do that.

There will be no CEL's because he probably converted over to OBD-1. Ask him how he got it to pass emissions for a 2000 model car.

It is easy. Run a HCP A/C bracket then a thinner belt and run the complete civic A/C system. If the system is not on there. Put the system together and then take it to a shop so they can put a vacuum on it, check for leaks, and then add Freon.

The car can be running a 96 prelude ECU. It is OBD2 and does not have the immobilizer so it will pass the plug in test and most likely the sniff test too.

Jumper harness. Depends on the state if they will look for a jumper harness, it will still pass emissions thou.

BTW if any emission **** started pulling up the carpet and **** I would ****** snap. They would be collecting their government pension early once I was done with them. But I would probably be going to sit in the hole for a while. LOL.
