Default I wanna come to the darkside :) Need build up advice. and i have a few ?'s

Ok ive been a allmotor junky all my life. but im tired of dumping soo much into a motor and only breaking mid 13's... Ive been searching around but the info is so scattered i dont seem to get the solid feedback.

my plans i want to do. i want to run 10-15 lbs.
GSR block
Eagle rods with ARP
81.5 bore JE pistons what Compression would be best?
injector size?

Ill be using a ITR head since i have a spare one.
will the ITR cams be too much for boost or should i ditch them for something else?
the head will be untouched cept for cleanup work.

Transmission i am going to use is the ITR 4.7 FD LSD

Now the few questions i have are.

#1 ive always been scared of boost creep. how do i prevent this from happening? is it in the manifold design or is it in the wastegate?

#2 How big of a factor does FMIC size play in the power roll? I like to have a nice Big agressive Front mount. but i dont want to affect my power.

#3 what is more important to monitor? the AFR or the EGT. i have a PLX M300 wideband installed on the hatch already but i notice that alot of the boost guys run EGT gauge as well.

#4 I dont wanna wait til 6000 RPMS for boost. so what turbo would you recommend for my needs. im hoping for 350 whp in that range

Thanks guys and im sorry for the Newb ?'s I just wanna get the facts straight.

1. The itr cams will be perfect
2. It can be either the wastegate or the manifold. Just get a tial wastegate and reputable manifold and you should be fine
3.for a 350 whp application you dont need a huge one, I would go with the 600HP precision intercooler if you wanna go bling, since you WILL want more power later, or go with a JRC for less money but still good performance.
4.Both AFR and EGT are important, but AFR more so I think. EGT is nice to have to be able to tell if your car is overheating or if you want to know whats going on with it. In general EGT's have alot to do with what your AFR is.
5. The garrett GT28RS is a great turbo that can support 350 whp and will spool up very quickly. You may also wanna look into a sc34 or GT32 if you plan on making more power later.

Also that tranny is gonna be a bitch to run with lol. Gonna need some tall tires to stay out of 5th.

either one of those turbos are just what your looking for

95GSRTT pretty much nailed it on the head for everything else as well...

make sure the exhaust mani has wastegate placement centered on the collecter, rather then over one runner. get a minimum size 38mm wastegate. have the dump tube the same diameter as WG hole or larger, and don't make it to long in efforts to avoid boost creep. about 18" or enough to keep engine clean if dumping to the ground.

I say go with an EGT gauge... mount the sensor few inches from head on runner #3 lot of people also put it in collector, or just after the turbo...

good luck!

Yeah inline pro manifold is nice. Its identical to the Rev Hard, except that the wastegate port is moved to the center of the runners and it is made of stainless steel. But the price of the tubular manifolds is coming down so you might want to check those out.
