Default Hasport Press Release

Hasport would like to announce the release of the new EKK2 mount kit. This kit is designed to be use with the EG crossmember, steering rack and lower control arm. This allows the engine to be mounted rearward another 2 inches and up about an inch. This ideal for drag racing as it straightens the axles and road racing becuase it moves engine weight rearwards.

The kit has two sets of mounting holes so that the engine can be mounted slightly lower so that the P/S pump can be used without modifying the hood. Even with the engine mounted in this lower position because the oilpan is so close to the front wheels ground clearance is still excellent.

Any clearance issues with header(s)? That is a bit of a move back.

No issues at all, the header fits fine.

The EG crossmember fits fine as well, provided you also use the EG steering rack and lower control arms.

How much room does it leave for a turbo back there?

More engine set-back has better weight distribution for road racing. The EKK2 kit does not replace the EKK1 kit, it is merely an alternative.
