Default o2 sensor problems??

If im throwing a code 41 would it cause my car to run rich and smell like gas? I also noticed I have black smoke coming from the exhaust when I get on it and Im also getting shitty gas milage.

Yep. Sounds like you've got a crapped out O2 sensor.

I agree with Kendall your O2 has crapped out on you. Mine was the same way when I removed the O2 when I put my down pipe on. I just disabled the O2 using Uber data but before I did that I also ran pretty rich. Get a new O2 if you have th cash grab a new one from Honda if you don't go to a salvage yard and ask to take a look at thier junk motors. Then just find the correct O2 sitting on one of the motors if you can. That is what I did when I was still running NA and needed a cheaper O2.

The same thing started happening the other day it threw a code once Friday and once Sunday but not Saturday and not the 4 hour round trip back and forth to the shore so i guess my o2 sensor is starting to go? right?

yes, unplugging the battery for 15 min will reset the ecu (it only needs to be 30 sec unless you have a capacitor in your car). Code 41 is for o2 heater circuit. Find the pinouts on the heater wires and check voltage (I believe they are both black on most honda ecu's), could be a wiring issue.

thanks for the help guys. I found out what the problem was and fixed it. It was a wiring problem one of the wires from the o2 sensor came undone.

Make sure you solder it too, the code will most likely come back if you don't.
