Default H22a built

I don't really see people do h22a build ups. Has anybody done a complete build up or a full head build on a h22a with like an eg hatch or something and ran some nice 1/4 times? I want to go h22a cuz the torque feels great about how do they perform with in the quarter being built?

u need to go into the prelude forum and do a search...... i have a fully built going to be put in a EK....if you put a h22 fully built h22 in a eg or ek expect to see 10-12s depending on the build and driver and tuning!!!!

the H has a lot of potential but does not get as much aftermarket support. Don't get frustrated though. More power will come from your persistence if you stick with the H. H, K, or F are the top three choices imo.

10 is kinda pushing it......i think streetable low 12s/high 11s would be possible.....

the h does very well built....the extra displacement is nice.....

dude, thats what im running and im in the 12s and not even close to done with the motor

so stick with the H, F or B motors like he said and your gonna be runnig so preety wicked times

and im sure it'll pull in the 10s if you strip the interior and get rid of some weight (windows ect ) and run it on some good slicks but if your going to keep it a daily driver high 11s shouldn't be that far out of reach!

good luck man!!

My old setup: http://www.rndauto.com/ranta.htm - 12.8 @ 110 mph
New setup: http://www.rndauto.com/ranta2.htm - TBA this summer

I'm working on finishing up my fully built motor with the help of DPR. Here is another H22 he did head work and other things for: http://www.dprracing.com/Media...g.htm - 2004 All-Motor champion

https://honda-tech.com/zero...90409

h23 block and crank
jdm h22 pistons
port and polished head
skunk2 stage 2 cams
ericks racing header
tuned on a hondata s100

missed fourth gear and the car ran a 12.29 @ 110mph with a 1.63 60'. h22's are the way to go!!!!! the motor makes as much power as a built 2.0L b-series but $2500 less. gotta love the H!!!!!!

H22 = honda's "big block"

i would imagine over 150ft. lbs at the wheels feels really nice.
