itr muffler install on 92-95 civic hatch???
Sup everyone I really don't post alot , just read most of the time. I did a search an really couldn't find anything on this topic to help me out. So if anyone could help me out that would be great.
I took my ITR muffler ( rear section ) to an exuhst shop today an they said the muffler is to big to install on hatch, i was like wtf because i here people doing this mod. What do i have to do or tell them in order to make it work. Do they have to modify hangers, i know they have to shorten the rear pipe, any pic's or something i could give to the exhust shop lol thanks!

Hmm my friend put an ITR exhaust on his EG except I forgot how he went about doing it... I think you have to modify the piping to get around your rear LCA but for more info I'll find out and post again...
P.S. just get a ES muffler
P.S. just get a ES muffler
cut the piping off (just use the muffler)...
re-arrange the hangers to fit the hatchbacks hangers...
cut the tip, shorten and re-weld...
i had one, but never installed it.
the muffler's body is short enough to fit between the rear subframe and the rear bumper..... had about 1-2" gap between muffler and sway bar...
you're gonna end up using only the muffler and having to shorten the tip b/c its gonna stick out a lot...
good luck.
EDIT: btw, kick *** avatar!

No you don't need to do this. I have a friend who needed my ITR muffler on his hatch, it bolt up without any rearranging of the hangers. The only hanger it is missing is the front hanger. The two in the back of the muffler is in the same position as a civic hatch.

Like I said before it's a bolt on affair, it's a mandrel bent piping and it will clear the LCA. I had it on my civic and on my friend's hatch.

very weird. when i had put the muffler in place, the hangers would not have worked, they were too far back (towards the exhaust tip side)...
i've also spoken to a few people who have done this and have had to do what i mentioned. weird...
good luck tho. post pics when its on there...

I dont know how can it fit when the ITR muffler is way bigger than the hatch's muffler. It might fit if you don't have the sway bar. when i did mine, the guy at he muffler shop had to bend the hangers to make it fit cuz I have the sway bar, other wise it's rattling.
