Default A20 opinions...

I came across a 89' 2dr accord 5speed in really nice shape from a guy at work and i ended up winning it for 20$ on a basketball game board.. anyways... Is the block on these cars Iron? is there any potential for this thing at all? Im a B-series guy so i know nothing about these... i thought about gutting it and putting rods and pistons in it and boosting the **** out of it until it goes with just a junkyard kit.... any suggestions?

http://www.3geez.com offers the parts you need to swap a B series into your car, so you can remain a B series. It would also make it pretty quick, since theyre a lot lighter than normal Accords. I'm thinking B20/VTEC for the extra torque needed...

and to answer your question about the blocks on these cars: they are cast iron... heads are aluminum... there's one that's a dragstrip car that runs over 30 pounds of boost... jhonny-o if you wanna look that particular car up...

bottom line, these motor handle boost fairly well on stock internals...

I think min going to do a compression test and see what it says and most likely boost it ... I would love a b-swap but i got the car for 20$ and this is just a beater-toy... i dont want to put alot of money in it
