90-93 Integra LS/GS/RS = B18A1
94-01 Integra LS/GS/RS = B18B1

I believe the a1 makes 130 hp while the b1 makes 140, correct?

130 hp vs 142 hp, officially. B18b is worth it, IMO. Just get an OBD-I B18B ECU and convert it to OBD-I.

The B18A and B18B bottom ends are identical. Neither is stronger than the other. On the other hand, the B18B has a better head and intake manifold.

Most people probably told you go to with the 90-93 b18A1 because the 90-91 motors were obd0 and a lot simpler (wiring wise) to install into an EF/ED chassis.

Like storminmatt said, the difference between the b18A1 and the B18B1 is in the head/intake manifold

There was no B18B1 made prior to 94, so you must be talking about a B18a.

In 92-93 they changed the cams to my knowledge, but still had the same head casting as the prior years.
