What should I look for when buying a turbo kit?
Theres many turbo kits for sale on ebay and else where, what should I look for to know if its a good kit or not? I dont really want to pay 3000 for a kit, so if you know what kind of things to look out for let me know, thanks.
if i were you id peice together a kit, and DO NOT get an ss autochrome kit. or xs motorsports or whatever else is on ebay. go to homemadeturbo.com and check out that site youll learn alot.
do it the right way get a drag, greddy, or rev hard kit. spend the extra and you get it.
so many people will tell you that you can only have 2 of the 3 things when it comes to a honda- fast, cheap, reliable

why spend 2.5 or 3 g's when you could spend 1,000 -1500 and still have a reliable setup. why would this not be right? will this setup be on a bone stock motor?
and on a honda it takes a lot to get "fast". especially out of a d series. you need forged internals, upgraded valvetrain, port n polish, cam, preferably sleeved block, lightened flywheel, port matching, bigger t/b, lots of tuning, and the list can go on forever. your not gonna be fast with just a turbo. you boos the motor and parts will go out. i can tell you first thing your gonna need after that turbo will be a clutch. and then your gonna need suspension to back up that built motor and a nice drive train. my point is that yeah you cant be completely cheap if you wanna be fast but why spend that extra 1000-1500 when that could go into other parts.

Very very nice B series kit, only a few more bucks than revhard and comes with stainless mani.

yeah thats a nice kit but still that kit is lacking some things like fuel management plus getting it tuned. so its still gonna be expensive, DIY kits are nice but remember you most of the time get what you pay for
