electrical
I would say for fuel get an electrical and for boost a mechanical one (it is better cause it is simplier and work as accurate than the electrical one)
reason = easier to install.
autometer mechanical temp gauges are a bitch,
though for oil pressure and fuel pressure i only use mechanical

Safety? No fuel or oil lines going into the car.

What do you mean? I have Autometer electric oil and fuel pressure guages. I've heard of some installing mechanical incar. Why would you run a live fuel or oil line into the passenger compartment for a gauge? I think that a few quarts of either on your floorboard would change your mind.

i dont use an isolator because i havent seen a 100psi isolator yet.
the carburator ones(0-15psi) WILL break.
I just run oil to the gauge. It doesnt leak and doesnt cause any problems.
Much better than the electrical oil pressure gauges i;ve had

ok i want to get a oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp gauge
which style should i buy of each, seems oil pressure people lean toward mechanical.
also will i have to tap my block for the oil pressure or temp?

pressure comes from where the current pressure switch is on the back of the
block. the temp sender should be installed in the oil pan
block. the temp sender should be installed in the oil pan
you weld a fitting and put the sender in that.
water temp neds its own sender mounted in a water hose somewhere.
I mounted mine in the radiator neck on the head.
it cant use the stock sender because the outputs are different
