91 Civic Si HB Sparco seat brackets
What have any of you that have Sparco Seats used for seat brackets? I noticed Weapon-R also makes seat brackets that fit Sparco's but they don't have a size for my car. Will any other manufacturers brackets work such as Corbeau, Momo, Recaro, etc..
I did a search but came up with nothing specific.

I just made up some custom aluminum brackets. Bent up some sheet metal and drilled some holes. Then used some aluminum square tubing to get the right ride height. The floor on 90-91s I believe are different than the 88-89s but regardless it was a pain to make some brackets for it. The floor is at different elevations and the front two mounting points are at an angle. Take out the stock seats and you'll see what the stock brackets look like. These custom brackets removed the stock sliders so my car really just fits me or someone my height. Those stock sliders weigh a ton. If I remember correctly, somewhere around 8lbs.

i know the sliders weigh a ton, but thats somewhere i wouldn't wanna skimp. its not like you'd get lightweight seatbelts, would you?
i just say this because i was rearended in an accident and the stock sliders actually got ripped apart, i wouldn't want anything weaker than that.

Agreed, the stock sliders are pretty strong.
I'm not too worried about my brackets. They're made out of 1/8" 6061-T6 Aluminum with welded gussets and angled bends where the seat mounts to it. I did some simple calcs when I first designed these brackets and they've got some safety factor built into it. The seat belt bracket is made from 1/8" 304 stainless steel and that's stronger than the steel on the seat belt attachment.
My car would have to be seriously rear ended to rip out the bolts or shear the aluminum. In that case I don't stand much of chance anyway with my little Civic.

heh, yeah, my poor crx was stopped waiting to make a left turn into my driveway and this guy was doing 50 in a lowered nissan truck while adjusting his radio. the seat recliner broke back, but it was actually the rear wheel being pushed forward into the seat that ripped the tracks apart. sorry to threadjack, just interesting.
