It's an intake system using a Foam filter and carbon fiber heat shield. It's made by ITG. It's made for all B16/B18 VTEC motors. Kinda neat design. http://www.itgairfilters.com/max224.asp

I have not seen that before but ITG filers are great looking.

I know 3 BMW owners that use those filters... build quality is second to none.

I think that's ITG's generic airbox being put to use. ITG builds seriously nice foam filters. They filter better than a K&N, but still flow more air. You'll find their filters on a bunch of road race cars, especially ones needing socks over air horns leading to individual carbs.

Warren, are they washable and reusable like a K&N? Doesn't the AWE S-Flo intake for the S4 use the same kind of filter?

Yeah, they are washable. AWE has a kit for the S4 which fits inside the stock airbox. Kinda neat. Might get you 3-5 hp. It was slightly noticable in a friend's car.

I would use an ITG filter on my ITR if there was one that fit. I may put one on the end of my AEM when it's time to clean it.

Yep, I've seen that intake before, and it is very nice, but I think you would have some problems with the striaght connector putting the filter in the same location as the ABS pump. An elbow piece might work however.

I've seen it before and the company is based in Europe. I emailed them regarding it maybe 2 yrs ago and got no response.
