Default O2 sensor voltage - anyone?

Just wondering what the optimal O2 sensor signal voltage is on a H22.... i.e. what the O2 sensor will be reporting, voltage wise, (0.87?) when a OBDI H22 will be the most efficent at... has anyone bothered to try and figure this out? is this a bad question?

I'm using a 0-1 voltage meter as an A/F ratio gauge... just thought I'd try and play with it before I dyno-tune my car....

Default Re: O2 sensor voltage - anyone? (JDM LUDE)

With a fuel injected engine the voltage should average about 0.45V to 0.5V at stoichiometric (14.7:1 a/f). Actually the reading should never remain at this value. The ECU is constantly adjusting the amount of fuel injected so that the Oxy. Sensor output varies between 0.2V and 0.7V in normal operation. The crossing of the 0.45V value from lean to rich is refered to as counts or crossovers. If the number of counts drops below 8 in 10 sec. the sensor is usually considered defective.

For maximum power an a/f ratio that is slightly rich is usually desirable. Some race engines run as rich as 12.5:1.
