HF front swaybar diameter?
Just getting ready to order a couple poly bushings for my front swaybar since ES is kind enough NOT to supply them with the kit. Anyone have any idea what the diamter is? I believe the options are 16, 18, & 19. TIA.

16mm is the HF front bar that everyone in STS is trying to get thier greedy paws on. IF you wanna be really sure, clean off the OEM bushings and look really close, and the inner diameter should be debossed on the side.
18mm is front diameter for all DXs and Si's up till 90. The supa fat 19mm is for 91 Si's.

I ran into this lately... According to a couple Honda dealers the OEM rubber for a 17.3mm is discontinued. Since I don't have time to visit the boneyard before my next event, I ended up getting a 16mm ES, figuring I can clearance it with a drill or Dremmel. Test fitting it, it definitely needs some opening up. I'm also contemplating just using an 18mm and a few wraps of teflon tape. This might be easier since its only .7mm difference and they normally fit tight anyway.
I still don't know why ES makes that 16mm, no ED ever came with a front that size. *shrug*

fireant, you ever measured a swaybar??? bunch of wrong info.
they arent 16, 17, or 18mm..
HF is 17.3mm. (i botherd to mention to say im sure, because i knew some jagoff would say theyre 16mm because ES mistakenly sells 16mm bushings)
SI and DX all years is 17.8mm
Wagon is on the order of 19.
bushing size is not labelled on the front swaybars, just the letter "G" or "H" respectively on the HF and Si bushings. the rear sway bar bushings happen to have the exact size on them.

Are you sure about that? Every, HF front bar I've seen and recently ordered is 17.3mm, bushing stamp matches. Also my stock 91 CRX-Si was 18mm, I'm pretty sure it was like that for every 88-91 CRX-Si and 89-91 Civic-Si. Digging through the online parts listings, I believe the 19mm front is from the wagon and maybe a 4dr.

So tyson...shoudl I order the 16 or the 18 mm bushing since the swaybar diameter falls right in the middle.

listen to XRCr6, he's the one giving advice from experience.
i was originally going to comment pretty much the same thing that you could try either open the 16mm up or wrap some teflon tape and fit to a 17mm. looks like wrapping teflon tape is the better way to go.
i didnt bother commenting because i didnt have experience. i dont want to give advice if i dont have experience.

Well whatdya think XRcr6? I was kinda thinking of what tyson mentioned, opening up the 16mm. Any body else have opinions? Where the hell is Travis.
