Practice makes perfect dude...but you just need to find a good RPM range that you feel comfortable with (aka- something that won't eat your tires alive) and then learn to feather off your clutch, not just dumping it, unless that's the way you find to be better at. Good launches can be done at a lot of different RPMs (3000-4500 is generally where I experiment at). Just gotta practice, practice, practice!!

What I do:
Just leave it in gear (1st) with the clutch in. Steady your RPMs until you get where you want to be, and then lift off the clutch so you start roll forward and as you let off completely, gently rev and give it almost full throttle so you don't get too much wheel spin. When you think you're good to go without spin go for it. You can't take your time tho, you gotta do it quickly, that's what racing is about, and it takes a lot of practice. Just go to an empty road and a make a few runs till you think you got it.

Yeah, 20 punches are fun, especially in VTEC powered cars. Makes competition a little higher for the other driver when you're only 1k RPMs away from VTEC. Just need to learn how to launch that way too

launch from 3700-3900rpms. you dont want wheel hop, you want the tires to spin just a little bit without losing too much traction. you should be able to find your sweetspot somewhere inbetween those rpm's. just rev up, and when youre ready, dump the clutch and floor it.

if you ask me it's all at 2,000 rps... you want nothing more then a churp from your tires... the more your tires spin the longer you will be sitting at the line, and yes I guess you could say I dump the clutch in a way, but it is the quickest way for me

You have a valid point, but the reason launching higher can be more beneficial with VTEC motors is that by the time you car gets going, you are that much closer to where your car's HP is working at it's best (5200 RPMs). Just gotta learn to control the wheel hop/spin. 2k is a pretty safe and spin-free way to do it, but low-end torque is pretty much non-existent in Honda's, and you still have 3200 RPMs to go before you get the real power

you gotta pull up past the line, stop, and pull back behind it. then look left and right at the other racers next to you, reach back behind and turn on both of your naws bottles. bump up that phat sound system and wait for the flagger. once the flagger starts, rev your engine, wait for the fire to shoot out the exhaust, and your off, make sure to use the naaaaaaws

LOL, make sure you get so much boost you just can't handle the car and you swerve everywhere too on take-off
